Ok, so since I started the blog I have been trying to write down some of the things Taylor has been doing. I feel bad because for so long I must have taken for granted so much of what she did.
Some of the things she said over the last 2 weeks that make Dennys and I laugh and smile:
-No, I can do it
-We pulled up to a store and she said “Are we going shopping’
-Our next door neighbors name is Jason. He was outside and we asked if she wanted to say hi to him and she replied by saying “I miss Jason”
-Dennys and I were putting on our socks and shoes to go for a walk and she said “Guys, where’s my socks”
And of course not everything that she has been saying is so cute. She is on a “MINE” kick. She folds her arms and says “No, Mine”! I have told her not to say it many times and have given her spanks after warning her a million and one times and she could care less. She is sooooo stubborn like her daddy!
Another, thing that she does that drives me nuts is that every time I say something to her she says “huh”. Which is another habit daddy has grrrrrrrr. I told him this weekend just to listen to her and every time I say something before she answers she says “huh”! And sure enough she did it. He thinks it’s hilarious but now realizes his bad habit heheee. I must admit though that I have a bad habit of ignoring the 101 times Taylor says “mommy” to me. More times than not she just says, “Mommy” and has nothing else to say.
I know this is a very short stage so I should not take for granted the moments. Before I know it she will have friends that are more important than me. It makes me tear up just thinking about it! I love my days, hours, and minutes with her. I feel beyond blessed to have her as my child! And before I know it my days of just her and I are going to be gone!
She also has taken interest in dressing herself. It is so cute to watch her put her clothes and shoes on. She struggles and gets a little frustrated but she does it. She has not put her shirt on without help but she can do bottoms, socks, and her shoes! She also got a little princess scooter that she can do all by herself as well. It only took a couple times for her to figure it out. I’m so thankful she is determined and hope she carries that value the rest of her life.
